The Cold Pressed Tuber, Chufa Oil
The Chufa oil is very heart friendly. It has a fatty acid profile very similar to that of Olive oil – meaning it has mostly good fat (monounsaturated acid) that reduces heart-disease causing bad cholesterol. It also has a milder smell than most healthy oils (olive, coconut) and will not overpower the taste of your main ingredients when used as a cooking oil.
Drizzle Chufa oil in your salad with balsamic vinegar for a healthier dressing or dip your bread in Chufa oil.
